It would appear that the track's new path is not going all the way to the end. I've not been along for awhile but last time I talked with someone who'd asked for them to extend it a little to cover a boggy area. How is the path further towards the park?
In the meantime here's some video of when it was snowing.....

Rubbish, litter and other unsightly dangers
A recent comment raised the issue of rubbish, litter and particularly broken glass. I'm sure Humphrey has cuts and injuries from the increasing amounts of stuff lying around.
As there will be increasing numbers of people with children and dogs, broken glass possess an unpleasant danger. What to do about it is a difficult question.
Clean-up squads would be ideal but organising them is tricky (potential injuries) and is usually attended by a few committed individuals. This website may help gather the willing and with some help we may be able to organise something.
Litter bins would help. Maybe at each entry point, with dog poo bins and free poo bags, maybe. What do you think?

Telling people about this website
There are several things we can do with this website. Since I've set it up, it'll initially be down to me to manage the site. Please feel free to add any comments, ideas & suggestions by posting a 'comment' by clicking the 'comment' word at the end of each posting. I work full time so if I haven't answered or reacted to any comments, please be patient.
I have allowed anonymous posting to encourage all comments but I would request that we all remain polite when contributing to the site. As the administrator I can remove any comments and I have agreed to the terms & conditions of Blogspot. I do hope none of this will every be necessary.

Harborne Old Railway Dog walkers
After a lot of talking about it, I found time to setup this blog website. The idea is simple, many people and their dogs enjoy the Harborne Old Railway track for exercise and it makes sense to have a forum where people can exchange ideas and help everyone enjoy this great local amenity.
My aim is to set this up and I hope others will join in, use the site and share their ideas so as a group we can all benefit.
I'll add a few things to start with and we'll see how it goes. Thanks to the couple who suggested the name: HORDwalkers - I'd been struggling with what to call this site.
